field crew worker

WCB is seeking out at least five (5) field crew workers to get the fields ready for evening and Saturday morning games for the 2026 season

Duties include dragging, chalking, prepping the infields, emptying trash containers and other miscellaneous chores

From March 27th to June 26th (approximately 13 weeks) with the possibility of additional work from July 6th to August 14th (six weeks)

Work hours would be every day Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

The five workers would rotate when they work with at least two workers working every shift

The rate of pay for this position is $18.00/ hour

Training will be provided

If you worked as a Field Crew Worker last year, you will be given priority for this position

Requirements:

  • You must be in at least the 9th Grade during the 2025-2025 school year
  • Your school spring class schedule must allow you to leave early so you can arrive at Walnut Creek by 3:20 pm
  • You must be able to drive and have your own transportation to and from school and home
  • You must be responsible and able to work with little supervision
  • A worker CAN be involved in an after school activity as long as it does not interfere with working at Walnut Creek.  For example:  If you play high school baseball, you will probably be able to work during the weekdays in the month of April before baseball practice begins in May and would conflict with working at Walnut Creek.  Another example would be if you ran high school track you probably would not be able to work until late May when the track season ends.  If you do both - run track and play baseball, your schedule would probably not permit you to work during the weekdays but perhaps on Saturdays.  If you are not sure, contact us and we can discuss your circumstances.
  • We understand things come up (illness, trips, family matters, etc.) and you can’t always be available, that’s why we need at least five workers so there is enough coverage when those events occur.
